More magic for Adobe's flagship Creative Cloud

Cape Town, 15 Jul 2016

The latest update to Adobe's flagship Creative Cloud is here, including new apps and features that will bring your creative world together like never before.

Jeremy Matthews, CEO of Dax Data, local Adobe Software distributor, says: "The aim of this update is to save time and ensure a fast, productive journey in bringing creative vision to life. The new release endeavours to address major pain points and inefficiencies that designers, photographers and filmmakers face daily."

Adobe has gone all out to bring users more of that 'Adobe magic'; these updates span the CC family of products and services, and include substantial updates for Photoshop and Adobe Stock, as well as updates for CC Libraries, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Premiere Pro and After Effects.

New CC desktop app capabilities, performance enhancements

For Photoshop users, there are four new features and performance updates in this release.

* Content-Aware Crop - speeds up workflow by intelligently filling the gaps resulting from rotating and expanding an image beyond its original size. This feature allows users more freedom and options to create the perfect crop or angle.
* Face-Aware Liquify - allows users to quickly adjust facial features like the nose, mouth and eyes, by automatically detecting facial components.
* Match Font - innovative font recognition technology that scans text within an image and then identifies matching or similar fonts through Creative Cloud.
* Performance enhancements - such as 4x performance improvements when working with font menus and Content-Aware Fill feature.

Adobe Illustrator users don't miss out, with the new Fast Export feature. Another time-saver that allows users to quickly and easily export assets and artboards, as well as introducing advanced scaling options.

Adobe XD was launched as a preview version earlier this year, and with this update, users get a few new features as well as new language options.

Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects users can experience all new VR features allowing for advanced editing capabilities for VR film. New features in After Effects for Character Animator make it easy to match an animated character to a real life actor's speech and movements, as seen in the recent live episode of The Simpsons.

Adobe Stock boasts new collection, increased integration

Adobe Stock now boasts a new Premium Collection of around 100 000 images, hand selected from extraordinary artists, in addition to the 55 million royalty free, high quality photos, video, illustrations and graphics. Another important enhancement for Adobe Stock is the new 'one-click workflow' and integration between Stock and CC Libraries. This means users can now select a Stock image or video on the Stock Web site and place it into their work with a single click.

These new features offer critical time-saving and new creative opportunities for CC users, another move towards making CC a 'one-stop shop' for creatives to create and share their work.
