Commemorating Nelson Mandela Day, Networks Unlimited, a value-added distributor, donated blankets to the South African Family Relief Project (SAFRP). It is an organisation that works towards alleviating poverty in the Krugersdorp community.
"Nelson Mandela was a man of wisdom, love and unity and he was passionate about encouraging those who are able and capable to do more to assist those who do not have the means, especially children," states Lynne McCarthy, security marketing and PR executive at Networks Unlimited.
She continues: "Within this context, we, as a company, invest in future technology, and as a business we focus on investing in the future through CSI initiatives that are aimed at benefiting children in our society. This year, we chose to donate to SAFRP for Nelson Mandela Day, as it is an organisation that is close to our hearts, and the effort made by staff to collect and donate blankets is a small and genuine gesture, as well as a continuation from the annual golf day challenge that aids the Literacy for Life organisation.
"We aim to continue with our exertions by raising books and literature in aid of Literacy for Life to celebrate international literacy day on 8 September 2016. We would like to encourage everyone to join us on this drive by sending all new and used reading books for children ages five to 10."
The director at SAFRP, Leigh Du Preez says that she is very grateful to everyone for making contributions and she appreciates everyone's efforts. She also urges people to help with what they can as they welcome all donations: http://www.safrpsa.org/index.html.
