Johannesburg, 16 Aug 2016

Fujitsu takes to the road with its popular Fujitsu World Tour roadshow, under the theme 'Human Centric Innovation in Action', with a local stop in Johannesburg, at The Forum, The Campus, on 18 August.

With more than 11 000 delegates expected at 22 venues in 18 countries across six continents, the Fujitsu World Tour provides a unique opportunity to experience how Fujitsu can support its digital transformation challenges. Furthermore, Fujitsu and third-party experts will share their experience and advise customers on how they can best walk the digital tightrope.

The seven-month Fujitsu World Tour showcases the latest trends in digital transformation, hybrid IT, mobilising the enterprise, business-centric infrastructure, security, the Internet of things, and Fujitsu's integrated end-to-end value chain of products, solutions and services.

Dr Joseph Reger, Chief Technology Officer for the EMEIA region at Fujitsu, says: "Today's hyper-connected world is dramatically changing the way we live and work. Technology is being embedded in every aspect of business and society, and almost everything can be networked, resulting in huge quantities of data. Fujitsu aims to empower people with the intelligence and information to make good use of that data and drive digital transformation with the help of ICT."

Each stop on the tour is presented as a forum where customers and prospects can discuss business objectives, gain inspiration on how to balance digital transformation requirements with everyday ICT challenges, and experience demonstrations of practical solutions. Fujitsu's goal is to demonstrate how it works with customers and partners to leverage the power of human-centric innovation to change the way people work, think and collaborate. Through a series of expert talks, breakout sessions and technology showcases, the company demonstrates new ways of using ICT intended to benefit business and society as a whole.

Fujitsu recognises that across industries and countries, technology plays an increasingly crucial role in everyday life. The World Tour aims to provide inspiration, demonstrating how to leverage the unprecedented amount of ICT power that customers have at their fingertips today.
