Every business needs a reliable business partner. Introducing the new L5000 mono laser series designed to maximise print efficiency and minimise costs, so you can make the most of your investment.

Johannesburg, 26 Aug 2016

Brother International, a leader in business IT peripherals that focus on the 'customer-first' approach, has launched an all-new mono laser series that delivers high reliability, value and productivity for businesses.

Designed in Japan, the three models in the new range offer a mono laser printer, the HL-L5200DW, and two multifunction centres, the MFC-L5700DN and the MFC-L5900DW, serving high print volume office environments.

"The new L5000 mono laser series replaces the current HL-5440 and HL-5450 laser printer models, as well as the MFC-8510 multifunction centre, and offers the reliable performance that Brother is known for, coupled with significant innovations to meet the expectations of a modern workplace," says Dale de Villiers, marketing manager at Brother South Africa.

"The L5000 models are built to meet business challenges and focus on reliability, savings and increased productivity with low cost of ownership. Everything about these models is improved and refined to offer users outstanding high-volume, quality output that can scale as they grow, coupled with unique features designed for business."

Key enhancements to the L5000 range make them robust and dependable machines for your medium to large work groups, with a recommended monthly print cycle of up to 15 000 pages and a three-year on-site warranty. The new models offer fast print speeds of up to 40 pages per minute and all ship with a super-high-yield inbox toner, allowing you to print up to 8 000^ pages immediately. The optional paper tray upgrades of two x 520 sheet lower trays brings the total paper input capacity to a maximum of 1 340 sheets, which means you spend less time reloading paper. Plus, the MFC-L5900DW offers an improved 70-sheet automatic document feeder for effortless scanning and copying of multi-page documents.

Better total cost of ownership (TCO)

Brother's latest mono laser family is built for high efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The laser printer and MFCs support monthly print cycles of up to 15 000 pages per month, while an ultra-high-yield toner enables up to 12 000^^ printed pages with cost savings in mind.

Superior productivity and ease of use

Productivity is a key feature of the L5000 series. High volume print jobs are easily managed, without the need for frequent paper reloads. The default paper tray can hold up to 250 sheets, and optional upgrades of two additional paper trays provide businesses with a total input capacity of as many as 1 340 sheets.

Simplify business operations

The new models are easily managed over the network, with Brother's BRAdmin Professional Software. This software includes a suite of security solutions to ensure documents remain confidential. It is also a network management tool that supports remote configurations and the monitoring of useful information such as page count, toner and drum status. Print costs can be controlled better with the option of setting print quotas for users, while instant notification of printer downtime lets customers attend to the problem quickly.

Customised workflow solutions

As each business is unique and may operate under unpredictable conditions, Brother has developed flexible workflow solutions that can be customised if required. Brother Special Solutions Customisation (SSC) enables Brother to collaborate with a business on modifying Brother products for specific business needs. The Brother Solutions Interface (BSI), applicable only to the multifunction centres, is a Web-based service platform aimed at improving customers' productivity and efficiency by allowing software developers to create custom solutions easily.

Mobile convenience

Brother also supports the convenient integration of mobile devices into the workflow. Brother iPrint&Scan, Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print enable users to print directly from their mobile devices. JPEG and PDF documents can be printed, while faxes and copies can be previewed. Apple products can also save documents to iCloud.

Buyers Laboratory (BLI), a widely respected testing and resource company, has evaluated several of the new Brother models. BLI noted the significant business value of the new machines: "The Brother models offer competitive to lower than average cost of ownership," states Marlene Orr, BLI's Director, Office Equipment Product Analysis.

The L5000 mono laser series from Brother includes a three-year on-site warranty and can be purchased through Brother International South Africa's authorised resellers.
