Cellular data roaming company KnowRoaming now offers a portable hotspot to business travellers. The Global Hotspot can connect up to 15 devices.

"The reality is business happens everywhere and people need instant connectivity on all their devices. Our Global Hotspot provides fast, secure, and reliable data around the globe from top-tier networks," says Gregory Gundelfinger, KnowRoaming CEO.

Manufactured in the US, the hotspot uses the Novatel WirelessTM MiFi 6630 which can last up to 20 hours on a single charge. It also functions as a battery pack for charging external devices.

The device has extra security features, including hacker prevention, encryption, and enterprise-grade protection.

Designed for business customers in need of fast wireless connectivity across multiple devices, it is aimed at companies in the travel industry who want to equip groups heading overseas or hotels who wish to offer per-day rentals, as well as professionals who need on-location Internet access.

To roam in over 90 countries in the world, it costs $7.99 USD per day for unlimited data access.

The hotspot is only available to businesses at the moment and a consumer version will follow soon, those interested can sign up here.

The company also announced a partnership with global IT and telecom expense management software provider, Tangoe.
