Says Mint CEO Carel Du Toit: "While history shows us that most change takes place over time, our human story is littered with definite inflection points marking the change we have gone through.

"These points of significant change are often the work of leaders, who, in confronting the shifts they are experiencing in their market, make a decision to head in a bold new direction. The primary task of any leader is to help his or her people navigate change - and changing course is required from time to time, to ensure both survival and success into their future. Of course, change should never be undertaken just for the sake of change.

"Great leaders in history have been those who have accurately identified the shifts, and have then taken the necessary action required to move forward in an emerging new world."

Mint's story is one of successfully navigating the new winds that have blown during its history, and now it is time once again for Mint to tack its sails to take advantage of the changes being tracked.

From its founding office in Johannesburg, South Africa through to its recent expansions to Cape Town, and further abroad in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and even Austin, Texas, the business has seen a marked change in the role it plays for its clients.

Continues Du Toit: "Mint was born into a far less sophisticated technological world than the one we inhabit today. Our industry viewed technology in bits and bytes and in individual parts, whose purpose was to improve specific, focused objectives for our clients. That world is a far cry from the pervasive digital world we inhabit today."

Mint's clients understand that digital transformation is a fundamentally core strategy they must adopt to survive. Today, Mint is not simply a supplier of technology; it has become an enabler of better business.

Better business fundamentally realigns the technology/business relationship. By infusing technology into everything it does, better business enables Mint's clients to focus on real business problems (that technical applications seek to solve) instead of focusing on the technological aspect of the problems they face.

Better business will allow Mint to truly transform how its clients focus on customer-centricity, add value to their employee engagement, and utilise technological processes (that streamline their operations) with smarter systems.

This is a major leap forward for Mint, and it is excited to take an aggressive and proactive approach to leading the industry in terms of digital transformation. This new vision is best summed up in the opening line of the Mint positioning statement:

"We believe in continuously challenging the status quo. In everything we do, we create tomorrow."
