Naik leaving Accenture for TransUnion

Accenture Digital MD Lee Naik is leaving the company to join TransUnion as its regional president for Africa. TransUnion says Naik will join the global information solutions provider on 2 January.

"I am very excited about Lee's appointment, coming to us with an extensive understanding of the African marketplace and a keen desire to help leverage TransUnion's global data, analytics and technology capabilities to help African businesses and consumers increase their impact," says David Neenan, president of international at TransUnion.

"TransUnion has a great history in Africa, and Lee joins us at an exciting time as we continue to introduce new products and opportunities to this important market."

Naik has spent the last 18 years with Accenture, where he is currently managing director of Accenture Digital in Sub-Saharan Africa. He previously held several roles in IT strategy and technology consulting, and is recognised as a South African digital and technology transformation expert.

Naik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

TransUnion says that in his new role, he will apply his expertise in technology to further the New York-listed firm's ability to deliver innovative solutions to the market.

TransUnion offers commercial, consumer, insurance and auto risk information solutions across a number of industries, as well as personal credit management solutions in Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland and Zambia.
