Duxbury Networking to market Hikvision solutions in SA

Johannesburg, 12 Sep 2016

Duxbury Networking is to market Hikvision video surveillance products and solutions in South Africa in a bid to increase awareness in the African marketplace for Hikvision's portfolio of digital video servers, high-definition IP cameras, speed domes, thermal cameras, as well as network, digital and hybrid-digital video recorders.

Targeted at the integrator market, Hikvision solutions are designed to meet application demands in a broad range of vertical markets, according to Andy Robb, chief technology officer at Duxbury Networking.

"Globally, Hikvision is one of the fastest-growing surveillance manufacturers with a capacity to produce more than 100 000 cameras a day," he says. "Our aim is to increase the brand's footprint in Africa by offering Hikvision solutions via our reseller/dealer channel. We will back the offerings with the highest levels of technical backup and extensive pre-sales and post-sales support in line with our value-added distributor philosophy."

Robb says key areas of focus will be on Hikvision's latest range of thermal cameras - which include two-lens solutions that offer thermal as well as optical views in one system - and its Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) solutions.

"To meet burgeoning demand for ANPR solutions on the continent, Duxbury will be offering two camera options. Features include a range of lens choices and the opportunity to embed recognition software in the cameras for faster processing. The cameras are able to interface and integrate with other sources of information to optimise end-user solutions," he says.
