IT Naledi Solutions starts focused ICT security division

In response to the ever-expanding ICT security threat landscape, IT Naledi Solutions (ITN) has launched a dedicated ICT security division.

As an ICT infrastructure solutions company, ITN provides ICT outsourcing and ICT managed services to its clients. The decision to introduce a focused ICT security division is part of its growth initiative and diversification strategy.

"We can now be hacked in various ways; be it via e-mail, network intrusion or hijacking your Web site, to name a few. Businesses need to have plans in place to ensure their protection. New sophisticated solutions are on offer to provide businesses with the protection they need," says Hashiem Bardien, sales and marketing director at ITN.

Today, organisations need to be in a position to manage risk before, during and after an attack. This requires a layered approach to security - leveraging a range of techniques that work together - and sharing threat intelligence across the enterprise in order to speed up response times, explains Bardien.

He believes that as risks increase, businesses need to be more savvy about their security needs. "Cyber threats are becoming increasingly more targeted and sophisticated. Attackers are using this broader attack surface to enter your organisation, further putting sensitive information at risk. ITN Security Solutions has partnered with leading information security vendors to deliver comprehensive coverage for all our clients' information security needs."

Current solutions in this space are mainly focused on the provision of anti-virus, Web protection and e-mail protection solutions, but this is not enough, concludes Bardien. "ICT security solutions are being forced to change at a dramatic pace, due to the current business landscape, where 'hacking' has become a rather lucrative business."
