Companies targeting the public sector may want to reconsider year-end holiday plans as procurement officers issue a rush of tender notices. While the private sector is starting to wind up business for the year, this week's National Tender Bulletin sees government kicking it up a notch.

Meanwhile, Christmas has come early for four companies that have been accredited as possible bidders for the delivery of an integrated automated biometric identification system for the Department of Home Affairs. The companies are NEC Africa, Accenture South Africa, Ernst & Young Advisory Services and EOH Mthombo.
