Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organisations, today announced that TEKCO has chosen the next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, Epicor ERP, to upgrade its manufacturing processes and improve system integration to support its goals for continued growth. The solution has been implemented by epic ERP, an experienced local Epicor partner.
Founded in 2005 by two brothers in the Western Cape, TEKCO is a packaging business that was initially set up to service its clients in the wine industry by sourcing and trading packaging products. The company soon began to produce and convert its own packaging products and is scheduled to complete its own manufacturing plant, warehouse and offices in 2017.
TEKCO's existing, custom-made ERP solution had not kept pace with the business' growth rate or its move into manufacturing. In preparation to grow geographically, manufacture products and take on customers in new industries such as agriculture and retail, TEKCO required an upgraded ERP system to move forward with a more streamlined approach.

With the help of epic ERP, the value-added reseller for Epicor ERP in sub-Saharan Africa, Epicor ERP was selected for not only the solution's international capability, but also the domestic support available in South Africa, and the system's functionality in manufacturing, order processing and finance.
