Wholly-owned subsidiary of Yamaha, Revolabs has selected SkyGroup Communications as its official distributor in the Southern Africa Development Community.

According to the company, SkyGroup Communications will provide Revolabs' wireless communications technology, alongside its video conferencing, AV integration, and cloud-based communication services.

"SkyGroup's extensive knowledge base in and around unified communications, coupled with the company's wide-ranging skill set and strong management team, will provide its reseller base with access to Revolabs' communications systems," said Russell Harpham, sales director EMEA at Revolabs."With this partnership, SkyGroup will help us effectively meet the growing demand for high-quality unified communications solutions in the Southern African region."

Revolabs says reseller partners will now be able to bundle its wired and wireless microphones and conference phone systems with SkyGroup's complementary technology offerings to create a single unified communications (UC) and video conferencing solution for their business.

Dirk Schreuder, sales and marketing director at SkyGroup Communications, says while the African continent is establishing itself as a global player, travel remains expensive or sites are often remote.

"That has meant unified communications technology that is able to meet the holistic communications needs of these businesses is in high demand. More businesses throughout Africa are using UC clients such as Skype for Business, which calls for technology vendors to tightly integrate with these services. As a result, unified communications offerings such as Revolabs' range of wired and wireless solutions have experienced incredible demand."
