Aveng DFC, a manufacturer and supplier of valves and pumps for the water, effluent and mineral processing industries, has contracted nCoded Solutions for the installation and roll-out of an advanced planning and scheduling (APS) system from Siemens at its head office and factory in Benoni South.
Aveng DFC has a tradition of excellence in production quality, services and technical support that permeates throughout the individual brands and the company as a whole, as far back as 1958.
nCoded Solutions offers a series of avant-garde solutions that are underpinned by its over 20 years' experience in supply chain planning, execution and analysis. This helps the company to identify its customer requirements and needs when having to make decisions on which service to provide in its mixed bag of available solutions.

Venter says Preactor - one of Siemens' suite of products - came out tops on features and price.
"Preactor has a view of every job on the factory floor, tracking stock and individual processes, assigning resources to each process and scheduling the optimal production run for each product based on the resources available and the priority of the jobs in progress," says nCoded Solutions Director Lance Zikalala.
