Sony unveiled its most recent mid-range smartphone this week, the XperiaTM L1.

The device will feature the smartphone manufacturer's own personal assistant called 'Xperia Tips', which was introduced in 2016. Sony says this feature will help to provide relevant and on-screen advice in real-time.

It also features 'Xperia Actions' which helps the device to adapt to device settings and functionality in particular surroundings.

"Powering Xperia L1's smooth and fluid performance is a Quad-core platform and fast 4G LTE capabilities, providing a speedy and hassle-free experience," says Tsutomu Sato, director of global product marketing, at Sony Mobile Communications.

The smartphone covers both single and dual-SIMs, supporting 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, and Bluetooth 4.2. It uses the USB-C port and it comes in black, white and pink colour options.

The Xperia L1 is expected in Europe, Middle East, Africa, North America, Asia, and Latin America by the end of April.

The price of the device has yet to be confirmed.
