IEIT joins forces with CyberLogic

Transaction creates new national and international managed IT services powerhouse.

Cape Town, 26 May 2017

Integrated Equipment IT Solutions (IEIT) has officially joined forces with CyberLogic to strengthen its service offering and reach further across South Africa as well as Africa.

The new CEO Matt Mead, who will head up the new combined group, brings together strong, capable management teams, an array of skilled resources and managed services in South Africa, Mauritius and servicing territories in 15 African countries.

"This culmination of strengths and resources is in line with global consolidation trends and stands to benefit clients of both IEIT and CyberLogic through our expanded capacity and reach," says Matt. New benefits for CyberLogic clients include a national and international footprint with a significant presence in Johannesburg and Mauritius, service delivery across Africa and access to IEIT's Asset Finance support services.

The fusion of both the entities, along with their Microsoft Gold Partnerships, has afforded the new group a Tier 1 Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider status. Coupled with its own CyberLogic cloud offering as well as Microsoft Azure, IEIT CyberLogic is geared to provide SMEs across the continent and further abroad with a high level of expertise, excellent service and competitive pricing across several core cloud services.

Outgoing CEO and CyberLogic founder Edge Bisset praised the manner in which the transaction was handled. "Novitas Capital Advisors acted as exclusive M&A advisors to CyberLogic and facilitated a fantastic deal which benefits all parties, including staff and clients. Under Matt's leadership, the synergies which this deal unlocks will take the business to new heights."

With Bisset exiting, Matt will step in as CEO. "The management team will stay in place and the CyberLogic name will remain, but it will receive a fresh new look, incorporating IEIT's colour palette, complete with a new logo," Mead adds. "The offices in Stellenbosch, Green Point in Cape Town, Johannesburg as well as Mauritius will report to a combined board, which will have oversight of the entire business."

Matt notes while the deal created a considerable sized organisation with significant clout in the IT industry, the group remains focused on serving its core small and mid-sized market. "This is our niche and there is still significant room to grow and value to offer in the small to mid-market sphere. Our goal is to be the leading managed IT service provider on the African continent in this segment," he says.
