Bytes Managed Solutions has appointed Alan Anderson as core business development executive with immediate effect.

Headquartered in Johannesburg, Bytes Managed Solutions is a member of the Bytes Technology Group, which is wholly-ownedby the JSE-listed Altron Group.

According to the company, the appointment is part of the organisation's strategy to focus on solution growth in the financial and retail environments, and manage the NCR and CIMA business relationships.

"Anderson is an ambitious leader with over 25 years' sales and business development experience in the ICT sectors of banking, retail and commerce in the South African market," says Fourie van der Merwe, MD of Bytes Managed Solutions.

"He is an experienced executive whose collaborative leadership style and track record have yielded compounded annual growth with a successful track record of increasing market share profitably."

Anderson holds a sales management qualification from Damelin College and previously held the position of business development director at the company before heading to Tradelink as sales and business development executive.

"It is good to welcome him back into the Bytes Managed Solutions fold following a brief venture outside of the group. I am confident he will successfully drive profitable revenue growth from the financial and retail industries, in addition to promoting NCR and CIMA value propositions into both these industry verticals," says Van der Merwe.

Earlier this month, Bytes Managed Solutions appointed Shuheid Brown as senior manager of business development of new industries. He will be responsible for optimising, maturing and driving new value out of the current solutions and structures at Bytes.

Brown has worked for a number of technology solution providers, including Oracle, SAP, HP and IBM, in senior management roles.

Speaking at the time of the appointment, Naeem Seedat, business development executive of Bytes Managed Solutions, said Brown's experience and expertise will be highly beneficial as the company looks to broaden its target market.
