Adri F"uhri has been appointed as software-as-a-service company e4's group chief financial officer.

F"uhri joins e4 from Innovation Group South Africa, where she held two senior C-level positions.

In her first role within a technology company, F"uhri says the rapid pace of the business, together with technology evolution and change, makes her position as CFO, with HR responsibilities, an exciting career move.

"I have substantial financial service experience and I am looking forward to applying my skills within such a dynamic technology company. In this environment, it is vital to make quick decisions, ensuring the company remains agile and able to respond effectively to market trends," she adds.

F"uhri is a qualified CA (SA) with 20 years' post articles experience in the financial services sector and a BComm Hons Accounting obtained at then Rand Afrikaans University.

She moves from Innovation Group SA, where she held the position of chief operating officer and financial officer. Prior to that, she was employed at Standard Bank SA, where she is credited with the successful implementation of the funds transfer pricing methodology in 10 African countries and the margin management methodology in 16 African countries.

"My aim is to ensure we strike a balance between moving at a fast pace and managing the resulting change it brings to the business. I am enjoying the flexibility of not being in a highly-regulated environment as is custom with financial service organisations. The company is rather innovative and a rapidly-evolving brand and I am looking forward to assisting in reaching its goals."

F"uhri has also highlighted the expected challenges that come with being a woman in a male-dominant industry, noting the ICT industry should dedicate more time and effort to increasing the number of women at boardroom level, and expressing her keenness to be part of that change.

The firm says it trusts F"uhri's proven ability to translate business strategy into well communicated objectives and deliverables. "With 20 years' extensive experience in the financial sector, e4 is guaranteed to gain a vital skill within its growing organisation."

e4 and its subsidiaries employ over 400 staff at offices in Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, Cape Town and Namibia, with satellite offices in Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein, East London and Mpumalanga.

Earlier this year, the e4 group introduced its Virtual Identity solution to the Australian market after its launch in SA. The expansion followed the introduction of Convergence Partners and Stockdale Street as new investors in April 2016, which enabled the company to accelerate growth through new product and services development, and further expand its geographic footprint.
