Document management and printing group Itec SA is implementing its renewed customer-centric growth agenda through strategic appointments to its management team.

The company has appointed Daniel Lotter as head of bids and tenders for Southern Africa, including Namibia, Zimbabwe and Botswana.

According to the company, Lotter will focus on sales management, account management and new business development in his new role.

Lotter says he is keen to take on his new role and looks forward to making strides in the industry.

"Part of my plan is to on-board the channel to have a unified message into the marketplace, driven from a customer-centric foundation. In the long-term, I aim to become increasingly involved in system development while introducing innovations that will improve operating efficiencies, service delivery and customer flexibility."

Lotter previously held the position of head of consulting services at Ricoh South Africa, where he and his team were responsible for landing some of the biggest office automation tenders.

Itec SA says part of its key interest and growth focuses on forging relations with the South African government.

The company became 100% South African-owned in 2015, following the purchase of all the issued shares in the Itec group by a consortium comprising the Itec management team, Investec Bank and Khulasande Capital, a black-owned and controlled private equity and investment vehicle.

Previously, 90% of Itec was owned by founder Jacques Duyver, who is based in the UK.

Meanwhile, subsidiary Itec Communication has appointed Riaan Janse van Rensburg as its new general manager. He has been tasked with providing competitive solutions and services, focused on high-level customer satisfaction.

Van Rensburg, who holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of Pretoria, was previously chief operating officer at ATEC Systems and Technologies.

"My main goal in this position is to lead an already excellent team and to be the bridge that links sales, technical, finance and operational teams," notes Van Rensburg.

Last month, the company appointed Esti Kilian as head of business development and marketing.
