Business management solutions provider Parity Software has appointed Jono Williamson as chief commercial officer effective immediately.

The company, which is a Sage X3, Sage X3 People and Sage CRM Platinum partner and a Microsoft Certified Dynamics GP Partner, says the appointment was necessary to ensure that Parity leveraged its market leading position.

Williamson was previously the chief operating officer of Zinia, a business Internet telecoms service provider.

Warren Williams, managing director at Parity Software, adds: "Parity is in a new growth phase and we wanted someone to lead us into new markets and capitalise on our strengths and expansion opportunities."

According to his LinkedIn profile, Williamson is responsible for the development, implementation and on-going management of the Parity sales and marketing strategy.

"The digitisation trend is evident and the company is strategic in its intent to grow and develop new markets utilising relevant solutions and skills. I have been tasked with driving sales, increasing marketing visibility and ultimately replicating the company's model across South Africa, the Middle East and Asia," he said. "I wanted to be part of this next exciting wave of technology evolution as well as leading the company's expansion into some exciting and competitive new markets."

He adds that the company has noticed big potential in the construction sector locally and is seeking to implement relevant and updated business software. "A large number of companies in this sector are still using spreadsheets or running very old systems that are not integrated. There is also a need for reliable, cost-effective estimation tools, which we offer in addition to the Sage product in a locally integrated product called Lula Build."

Lula Build is a software suite that simplifies tender and estimation, including pricing of bill items, of a contractor.

Most recently Western Cape based construction company Haw & Inglis went live with its Sage X3 and X3 People implementation with the help of Parity Software. The firm used Sage ERP X3 and X3 People to consolidate their enterprise resource planning and human resources system reporting.

Last year Sage named Parity as the national solution provider of the year at the Sage Business Partner Conference as well as the partner of the year for Sage Enterprise's business management solutions.
