US-based Sitefinity has appointed local firm Khanyisa Real Systems (KRS) as a progressive partner+ in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The deal will enable KRS to offer development and support services for the global firm's content management system to corporates, big business operations and digital marketing agencies in the region.

Sitefinity's solution is an ASP.NET Web CMS that offers a content management and digital marketing platform, allowing organisations to build a Web presence through a usable interface, flexible framework and feature functionality. The platform intergrates e-commerce solutions and content together.

According to the firm, the platform has its own data tracking system, builds its intelligence and profiling, and is not Google-driven or reliant on any other search engine. "The platform employs an open architecture and fully exposed APIs to ensure it is extendible. Utilising custom controls, modules or through integration with third-party applications, the platform offers [various] customisation capabilities."

"The robustness of the platform is a good fit for us," says Steve Randles, MD of KRS.

"We have this deep dot.net technical knowledge in terms of customisation, integration into servers and services, a track record for running big systems, and expertly managing them - as well as our mature SDLC approach."

KRS business development manager Gerald Steyn adds the partnership will benefit greatly from collaborations the company is making with some of South Africa's digital marketing agencies.

"KRS is not a design house or content generator, but we do have creative developers. Sitefinity gives our team the scope to build highly effective digital systems as the structural backbone or blank canvas on which the 'painting' can be built."

KRS is a Microsoft gold-certified partner in SA, and employs over 50 staff at its offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
