All things go for Talksure's new home

Umhlanga, 02 Nov 2017

Construction on Talksure's new home in Umhlanga has recently begun. Expected to accommodate 1 200 staff, the new development proves to be a landmark development for Talksure as well as for Umhlanga. Situated on Umhlanga Ridge Drive, and just 20 minutes from King Shaka Airport, the prime property offers 9051 square metres of development land which will house the brand new purpose built contact centre - exactly what Talksure was looking for.

On the 21st of August 2017, Chairman Jess Watts, Managing Director Jacques de Beer and Members of the Leadership Team at Talksure participated in a ceremonial ground-breaking. The ceremony which was held at the new site was to signify the start of construction of Talksure's new state-of-the-art contact centre. With shovels in hand, Talksure Executive Members tossed dirt into the air at the site - the first of the landscaping that will make way for the new building. The new facility will include a roof terrace, five levels of which three will be utilised for office space and the remaining levels being dedicated to parking and retail space.

Talksure will occupy 5 416 squares, which will consist of 850 dialling seats. This amount will be doubled over two shifts and will, therefore, contribute to job creation as well as expand the services that can be offered to clients. Furthermore, the development will also be able to host several commercial tenants.

"The building is a significant part of our five-year business plan. It allows us to increase capacity within existing campaigns as well as launching some exciting new products and partnerships. This expansion will ensure continued company and financial growth over the next 5 years," said De Beer.

Talksure has seen exponential growth in terms of business and employment and the new development is a direct response to this. Once the new building is ready for tenancy, Talksure will also look to contribute to further job creation by doubling the number of dialling seats through its international expansion building on the proven track record in providing world class Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services.

The Umhlanga area is alive with activity. With new transportation routes being constructed accessibility to Umhlanga is improved. Talksure's new premises will be situated on the corridor of the new road network that will link Cornubia to Umhlanga. Employees, especially those utilising public transport, will have ease of access to the business as the new location forms part of the new Go!Durban Integrated Rapid Public Transport Network (IRPTN).

Designed by Vara Ross, the new development is said to be a unique; combining contemporary design, purpose, and character to stylishly stand out amongst the other buildings in the area. "Located approximately 900 metres from the existing site, the look of the building will enhance the desirability for possible commercial tenants. In addition, we look to activate the base of the building and provide a unique amenity for residents and employees," added de Beer.

The new Talksure premises is scheduled for occupancy in late 2018 and will be developed by Kantey and Templar.
