BUI announced it has won multiple awards at the annual Microsoft South Africa Partner awards event. This builds on the recognition BUI received at the Microsoft Inspire conference, held in July, where it was awarded the 2017 Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award.

Awards were presented in several categories, with winners chosen from a set of Microsoft partners operating within South Africa. BUI was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services in the following categories:
* Cloud Partner of the Year - fourth year in a row
* EMS Partner of the Year - fourth year in a row
* Data Centre Partner of the Year - fifth year in a row
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards honours partners that have demonstrated business excellence in delivering Microsoft solutions to multiple customers over the past year. These awards recognise BUI as succeeding in effective engagement with Microsoft, while showcasing innovation and business impact, driving customer satisfaction, and winning new customers.
