Hewlett Packard Enterprise's (HPE) acquisitions earlier in 2017 of SimpliVity for USD$650 million and Nimble Storage for USD$1.2 billion mean its resellers in South Africa will be able to go to market with an even more compelling portfolio of flash storage and converged infrastructure solutions for mid-market customers.
That's the word from Sascha Schmidt-Ries, product manager for HPE Storage at local HPE distributor, Tarsus Distribution. He says the two acquisitions strengthen HPE's position in the fastest-growing segments of the enterprise computing market, enabling resellers to offer enterprises a more complete set of business solutions.

Nimble's products are designed for customers who need flash-optimised data services, including all-flash, hybrid-flash, and multi-cloud support at entry to mid-range price points.
