Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has appointed Kena Setshogoe as the MD for SA.

He was appointed acting MD early this year after Pieter Bensch resigned to join Sage. According to Setshogoe's LinkedIn profile, he has more than 20 years in the ICT industry.

Setshogoe joined the company in August 2015 as the commercial and public sector lead and become the interim MD in August 2017.

Prior to joining HPE, in 2015 he was the analytics sales lead at IBM where he developed and executed long-term sales strategy to help grow the company's South African analytics business.

He also spent more than six years working for Oracle in managerial roles. Setshogoe also held different managerial roles working for Microsoft and Cornastone. From 1997 to 2002 Setshogoe worked for Hewlett Packard.

After more than 75 years, in 2015 Hewlett Packard split into two companies: Hewlett Packard Enterprise, focusing on servers and enterprise solutions, and HP Inc, seling PCs and printers. In SA, both companies share offices.

Setshogoe holds a Bcom in management and information systems at North-West University.
