Project Partners, Oracle expand relationship

In this World Wide Wrap: Project Partners and Oracle expand relationship, project management set to explode, and college implements Daptiv PPM.

Project Partners, Oracle expand relationship

Project Partners, providers in enterprise project portfolio management, is expanding its relationship with Oracle to include the resale of Oracle's Primavera products, states PR-Canada.

Project Partners, a systems integrator, Oracle Approved Education Centre, and a certified partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, has offered implementation services, extensions and integrated products for Oracle Enterprise Project Portfolio Management applications since 1997.

Becoming an Oracle Primavera value-added reseller enables Project Partners to offer increased value as a one-stop expert solution provider to Oracle customers operating in project-intensive industries.

Project management set to explode

The economic stimulus assistance injected into major industrial countries to counter the effects of a global recession shone a spotlight on the need to rebuild their infrastructures, reports CRM Buyer.

The need to manage such public works investments efficiently has generated a huge potential market for project management software and related services. Even without the stimulus packages, worldwide spending on such projects is truly eye-popping, making the market for PM systems similarly astounding.

"Current estimates are that $12 trillion per year is spent on fixed capital projects worldwide, representing 20% of global product," J LeRoy Ward, executive vice-president of ESI International, told CRM Buyer.

College implements Daptiv PPM

Daptiv says Owens Community College has implemented Daptiv PPM to drastically streamline the project management process and increase communication throughout departments, according to Earth Times.

Founded in 1965 and based in Toledo and Findlay, Ohio, Owens Community College serves more than 45 000 credit and non-credit students each year.

Owens has implemented Daptiv's software-as-a-service project management solution in various departments across both locations in order to better track and manage work and simplify project operations.
