Independent information security solutions distribution company, Condyn, recently held its first, highly successful Security Conference in Sun City.
A variety of security-related topics covering the entire spectrum of concerns were covered by Condyn and its international partners, such as Lumension, a global security management company providing unified protection and control of all enterprise endpoints, applications and devices, global provider of network intrusion prevention systems (IPS), Top Layer Security, supplier of messaging security appliances and software, Proofpoint, provider of forensic grade e-mail archiving technology, Forensic and Compliance Systems, developer of high-performance IT/IP security technology Clavister, Fast Access Facial Recognition, from Sensible Vision, the new shape of computer security and access control, and Check Point Software.
In addition to the international speakers, highly reputable local speakers included keynote speaker, Taki Netshithenzhe of Comsec, as well as Maiendra Moodley of Maiendra Moodley and Associates, Danny Myburgh of Cyanre presenting on the new face of IT security and Mark Heyink of Information Governance Consultancy speaking on law and information security.
Additional presentations covered topical subjects such as data encryption, data loss prevention, forensic e-mail archiving, how to keep information security simple, security threats for 2008 and beyond, and secure mobile mail to name a few.
The high-level audience of over 80 delegates comprised of representatives from many diverse sectors including government, the private sector as well as attendees from blue chip companies.
