Bytes bids farewell to CEO

Bytes Technology Group CEO David Redshaw has announced his retirement, and will be replaced by Bytes Document Solutions MD Rob Abraham.

After 22 years working for the Altron Group, in various senior executive positions, Redshaw has decided to retire. However, he will take up the chairmanship of Bytes' UK operations and will stay on the Altron board of directors.

Abraham has been with the group for 12 years and will take up his new position as CEO as of next week and will be appointed to the Altron executive committee. He was appointed as MD of Xerox distributor Bytes Document Solutions in 2001.

Rob Venter, Altron CEO, says: “As a member of the Altron board and executive committee, David has played a significant role in the growth and success of Altron over the last two decades and we are indebted to him for his contribution.

“We are fortunate enough to have a manager of Rob's calibre and experience to lead the Bytes group into the future.”
