US-based Identity Automation, a provider of identity and access management, application integration and data integration solutions, is looking for local partners, to expand its reach in Southern Africa.

James Litton, Identity Automation CEO, says: “I think there is tremendous opportunity in SA and would love to use SA as a base to reach multiple countries in the Southern African region.”

He says the company is looking for partners that have practices around identity management and/or data and application integration. “Our channel model is pretty simple. We have resellers and integrators. Most do both.”

Litton adds that the company has recently introduced Data Synchronization System (DSS), an identity management and application integration tool that doesn't require programming like many other products do.

“Since DSS is highly scalable, we would like to reach customers of all sizes and across all sectors. We have had great success selling into the public space because we are highly competitive on price. Education is a real sweet spot as well. So partners with a reach across multiple sectors would be great as well.”

Litton says the company is targeting the product at the SME, education and state, and local government markets.

He says DSS is built around the concept of configuration. “The user selects an action such as 'Connect to DB' and then fills in the appropriate properties. They never have to worry about how the connection takes place. Other qualities are clientless interface since the user interacts with the system via a browser. It's also browser-independent, meaning it works with Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and suchlike.”

Adding the access request management system gives the customer the ability to provide its users with account management capabilities, account sponsorship capabilities and workflow, Litton says.

“DSS is designed to connect any combination of on-premise and cloud-based applications and can be delivered to customers as an appliance or as a software-as-a-service offering.”
