Magix appoints Rehbock as sales and marketing director

Johannesburg, 06 Jul 2010

After joining Magix Integration as sales and marketing manager in January 2010, Alan Rehbock has been appointed to the position of sales and marketing director, effective from May 2010.

Rehbock's new role within Magix will see him focused on three primary functions, building the business, developing effective customer strategies and engaging with vendors and partners to deliver superior solutions to the company's customers.

“The value I bring to Magix is 38 years of experience in the IT industry in various roles, from sales representative to sales management and business development,” explains Rehbock.

Prior to joining Magix, Rehbock spent five years as the business development director of Bytes Technology Group. Prior to joining Bytes, he held the position of general manager at Source Consulting. Over the years he has also had successful stints at Cisco, Computer Sciences and MGX (now Metrofile).

“I care for customers and implement a consultative sales process in which we listen carefully to clients and find a way to deliver on their specific requirements. My goal is to add real value in every engagement,” he says. “The Magix sales team will implement a structured, process-oriented approach to selling, which means Magix will understand and match its customers' unique buying processes. In this way, we will be able to better serve customers and deliver the value they really need.”

Chris Hills, chairman of Magix Integration, adds: “In recessionary times, companies are inclined to be more conservative in their spending and a sales team that understands their specific needs and speaks to their pain points is crucial to our future success. I have known Alan for many years from when he worked at MGX and latterly at Bytes, and I really respect the science and structure that Alan brings to the sales process. Alan has a wealth of sales experience and a passion for customer service that will drive Magix's growth going forward.”

Rehbock's vision for the Magix sales team is a group of individuals with in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services and how to sell them. “We will be able to provide customers with a consultative experience that delivers real solutions from a team equipped with the right sales processes, knowledge and skills to effectively sell the Magix portfolio of solutions.”
