The next edition of NETCB's “What's Up” seminar series will present 'Virtualisation A-Z' as the main theme. In partnership with VMware and IBM, with Workgroup as distributor, a packed agenda of topics around virtualisation will be presented, including an informative session discussing the various virtualisation platforms available today.
The purpose of NETCB's “What's Up” seminars provides customers with key insights into current IT trends and solutions available from NETCB and their partners, such as IBM, Microsoft, Novell, and VMware.
“Keeping the message short provides the customer with the necessary information to make key business decisions,” said Cobus Burgers, CEO of NETCB. “Virtualisation A-Z, our next theme, comes at a time when most of our customers are planning their virtualisation and cloud strategies.”
Presenters from NETCB, VMware and IBM will discuss topics around various strategies, hardware and software platforms as well as business applications that are most suitable to build a virtual environment.
A critical aspect of managing virtual infrastructures is the management tools that can be used to simplify and control the migration and maintenance of the virtual environment. These tools help to avoid a host of proliferation issues that are inherent of such an environment.
Concepts such as storage strategies, migration strategies, disaster recovery and hyper-visor platform selection will be discussed.
The Durban event will be hosted at the Belaire Suites Hotel, on 13 April, at 1:30pm. The Pretoria event will be hosted at The Innovation Hub on 14 April 2011, at 1:30pm. Attendance is free but limited. To attend these events, visit www.netcb.com to register.
