VM Consulting steps into Africa

Durban, 01 Aug 2011

VM Consulting, the master distributor of Appian BPM in South Africa and Africa, today announced it has secured its first client in Angola, West Africa.

“We are proud to be associated and representing Appian in South Africa and Africa. VM Consulting is excited to be embarking on our first Appian project in Angola,” said Vanessa Miller, Managing Director for VM Consulting. VM Consulting will be delivering the Appian BPM Solution to the largest insurance business in Angola, ENSA Seguros de Angola, SA.

“This is a very exciting time for us to be involved in BPM and we are excited to be partnered with an extremely forward-thinking and innovative team at Appian. They were first to provide BPM in the cloud, to introduce a BPM application for a mobile device and to bring social BPM to the market. Appian is a pure play BPM vendor and focuses solely on BPM; that is why they are recognised internationally as leaders in BPM innovation,” Miller added.

Gartner has announced a very encouraging prediction about BPM spending this year. Vendor market shake-out continues to crystallise customer options between BPM innovation and mish-mashed, bolt-on approaches. Awareness of BPM software is at an all-time high. With the advent of mobile BPM and social BPM, active use of BPM software is poised to explode. And this will herald a transformation in business.

In stark contrast to alternative development methods, Appian delivers mobile access to enterprise process applications with no additional development costs. Business process analysts can create and publish secure mobile process applications without the assistance of a separate mobile developer. In addition, Appian mobile apps use an intuitive and familiar social interface that drives usability while masking great power and deep backend integrations to enterprise applications.

Miller mentioned: “In the past, BPM has been seen as a solution only large enterprise organisations could afford, and we are pleased to present a BPM solution that now caters for all businesses, whether in the cloud or on premise. Our goal at VM Consulting is to provide a BPM solution for all businesses across the entire African continent that is easy to use, economically viable and provides leading-edge functionality. We believe our partnership with Appian is allowing us to deliver on this goal.”
