Solution description
UCS Cloud is built on IBM Service Delivery Manager (ISDM), which is the cornerstone for IBM's Service Management Center for cloud computing. It helps enable a more modern and dynamic data centre and provides the ability to request, deploy, and manage clouds with simple entry points, and is designed to provide a rapid return on investment.
IBM Service Delivery Manager allows you and your service delivery teams to build and manage professional cloud IT services with resource control and flexibility to efficiently and effectively manage IT service deployments along their full cloud services life cycle. UCS' current focus will be on PAAS and IAAS, with future expansion to SAAS with a key focus on SAP solutions.
Solution's functions
The solution enables automated provisioning and de-provisioning of systems and applications, which can be tracked and reported on a time-based method. The reporting engine also enables the tracking of resource usage and helps determine resource availability for release and test cycles. A self-service portal is provided, where the client can provision and de-provision infrastructure according to a predefined service catalogue.
