Central Desktop rolls out PM upgrades

Central Desktop, the provider of cloud-based, project management and business collaboration tools headed by Isaac Garcia, said it has rolled out a set of project management features on the service, Socal Tech reports.

The updates include support for Gantt charts, resource tracking, features to compare budget versus actual time on projects, and more. The biggest update is the ability to show a Gantt chart of a team's project schedule, which the company said could display a team's project schedule from start to finish.

According to CMS Wire, the company is combining its growing suite of tools into one tool chest of services to enhance productivity of disparate groups by leveraging the power of their cloud-based services.

Central Desktop revealed upgrades consisting of a set of social collaboration tools that included presence detection and team polling features to help quantify opinions in discussion threads.

The new enhancements are ideal for marketing organisations and creative agencies that tackle several projects at a time across different teams, Market Watch notes.

The upgrades make it easy for teams to plan, organise, manage resources, and execute as simply and efficiently as possible throughout the course of a project.
