In booth 1 at this year's CIO Show Africa 2011, and in front of a live audience, Magix Integration (Magix) will develop a mobile application for a BlackBerry device accessing enterprise applications in the back-office. The entire process, including the testing of the application, via a BlackBerry Simulator, will take approximately 45 minutes.
While the demonstration of the application will last continuously for the duration of the show - from 21 to 24 November 2011 - Magix will host a formal demo on 22 November, at 1pm.
“Our reason for doing this is to show the versatility of our mobile application development solutions, as well as how easy they are to use,” said Hedley Hurwitz, MD of Magix Integration. “In addition, this will serve as the platform to launch Magix Integration's new 'One Stack' approach to application mobilisation into the South African market.”
Magix Integration will make use of two of Magic Software's core solutions - uniPaaS and iBolt - for the entire application development process. The uniPaaS application platform features a metadata-driven engine and a unique development paradigm that provide the tools to build core business applications that are suited to the mobile environment, such as the BlackBerry's. The platform is simple and lightweight, yet functional enough for performing essential business tasks on mobile devices.
iBolt, a code-free business integration suite, further complements the mobile offering by providing a highly productive means of connecting to and from any enterprise application, whether installed locally or deployed as cloud-based SaaS. A single mobile application can provide real-time synchronisation between mobile front-end and back-end systems, while retaining a unified user experience.
The CIO Africa Show will take place at the Michaelangelo Hotel, in Sandton.
Magix is the South African subsidiary of Magic Software Enterprises (www.magicsoftware.com) (NASDAQ: MGIC).
