As the leading IT publisher in South Africa, ITWeb's Events division endeavours to deliver high-quality, value-for-money events to the local and international ICT sector.

Our events attract senior decision-makers and leading industry experts at main board level and senior management. Delegates at our events benefit from insight into the latest developments in their field and a platform for exchanging ideas and information.

We are looking to partner with speakers who will help us to continue to produce world-class industry events. Our programmes are designed to be strong on content, with presentations by expert speakers who share different perspectives, insights and experiences on pertinent issues.

Our objective is to provide delegates with the latest strategic knowledge and relevant technical know-how that they can apply in their work environment. The primary focus is to equip delegates to successfully plan and implement content technology solutions.

Speaker characteristics:

> A recognised expert in his/her field
> Knowledgeable
> Able to speak authoritatively on the area under discussion at the event
> Good communication skills – able to interact with a sizeable audience
> Prepared to work closely with the programme director/committee to ensure the presentation topic and content are appropriate. This includes submitting the presentation for review prior to the event
> Committed to the standards of ITWeb events – the platform is not to be used for marketing/a sales pitch
> Accept that a copy of his/her presentation will be available post-event in a downloadable format, and in some cases (e.g. Executive Forums) in a CD that goes to all delegates

Speaker requirements:

> Prepare for a presentation session that is 35-40 minutes in duration, including time for Q&A
> Present a professional presentation on the agreed upon topic that fits the summit's theme
> The presentation must be strong on content and of a high standard; case studies and examples of practical implementations are encouraged
> Use a customised presentation template designed for this event (will be supplied to speakers)
> Arrive at least one hour before his/her scheduled presentation
> Adhere to the time allocated
> Respond to questions raised during the presentation, and in the Q&A session after each presentation

Speaker benefits:

> The opportunity to share your experiences with your peers
> Networking opportunities with the top ITC professionals and decision-makers
> Being promoted in the marketing leading up to the event, as well as in post-event coverage
> Free registration for the conference
> Free registration for a guest

Terms and conditions:

> The event organisers do not provide honoraria for conference speakers
> As regards covering any speaker's travel and accommodation costs for international speakers and those based outside of Gauteng, this will be done solely at ITWeb's discretion. As a rule, ITWeb does not cover these costs for speakers representing the vendor community. Speakers who have their Call for Papers submissions accepted should therefore not assume that any costs related to them participating at the event will be automatically covered by ITWeb.
> We generally don’t allow speaker substitutions; our speakers are accepted on merit (based on knowledge, experience, speaking capabilities, etc), not because of the organisation they work for. If you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, please notify us promptly. You are welcome to make replacement recommendations, but the final decision will be made by ITWeb Events.
