ITWeb BPM Summit 2012

ITWeb's BPM Summit will take place on 17 and 18 April. For more information and to reserve your seat, please click here.

Business process management (BPM) has proven to be a powerful force in driving the adoption of technology.

So says Carl Townsend, services director at K2, who is also a speaker at the ITWeb BPM Summit scheduled for 17 and 18 April at the Forum, Bryanston.

On the other hand, Dr James Robertson, founder and CEO of IT solutions company JAR&A, who will also grace the event, believes management of information rarely happens as many executives are not able to get the information they require from their BPM and enterprise resource planning investments.

Townsend says: “This is where BPM can help hugely when it comes to the cloud, instead of looking at buzzwords let's think about practical scenarios using existing or already identified BPM requirements. For example, Microsoft's recent announcement that Office 365 is available in SA means you can dip your toes into this very easily.”

At ITWeb's third annual BPM Summit themed 'BPM Evolved', the management approach will be revisited to see what is new and how organisations can adjust and benefit using BPM. The summit will also address new process stimulation, agile as an enabler of BPM, as well as whether BPM is overrated or understated.

Local and international experts - including business and organisational change consultant, John Hayden, Professor Helena Barnard from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, and founder of the BP group, Steve Towers - are expected to attend.

BPM industry experts are invited to share their experience and knowledge by submitting case studies to ITWeb.

The event is currently open for pre-registration. Other highlights in the two-day summit include discussions by experts addressing the emerging confluence of BPM and cloud computing, news process stimulation and how to drive successful change management.

If there are any BPM areas that you would like to have addressed at this event please send me a mail.
