Raytheon buys enterprise architecture firm

IT firm, Raytheon has acquired privately held enterprise architecture company, Henggeler Computer Consultants to serve the intelligence community as well as the US Department of Defence, CBR reports.

“The addition of Henggeler will further strengthen Raytheon's capabilities and competitiveness in cyber-security,” says Lynn Dugle, president of Raytheon's intelligence and information systems business, in an eWeek report.

Henggeler's founder and president, Dick Henggeler, is expected to remain onboard with Raytheon, but Raytheon did not provide any information about his new role.

The Henggeler deal marks Raytheon's second cyber security acquisition in December and 10th since 2007, beginning with its acquisition of privately held Oakley Networks, a cyber security and data leakage prevention company.

Zacks Investment Research says the company does not expect the Henggeler transaction to materially impact its total company sales or earnings per share for the fourth quarter of 2011 or fiscal year 2012.

Going forward, the Zacks Consensus Estimates for fourth quarter 2011 and fiscal year 2011 are currently at $1.35 per share and $5.05 per share, respectively.
