Fortinet unveils network security appliances

US-based security software provider Fortinet has introduced a range of network security appliances that allows mid-sized enterprises to manage their IT infrastructure and secure their vital assets, Telecom Paper writes.

Fortinet is rolling out a combination of consolidated command and control technologies as well as tailored services to enable protected messaging environments, provide remote access authentication and optimise Web content caching.

According to CRN, the latest releases include the FortiManager-400C, a centralised management appliance for policy-based provisioning, configuration and update management for FortiGate, FortiWiFi and FortiMail appliances, and FortiClient endpoint security agents.

The FortiManager-400C provides device discovery, auditing and VPN management. The 1U rack appliance supports 300 licensed network devices and up to 50 administration domains.
