BlackBerry PlayBook users will now be able to get in on the intergalactic attack on green pigs, with the release of Angry Birds Space on the BlackBerry App Store.
Angry Birds has become a mobile gaming phenomenon and its latest iteration, Angry Birds Space, notched up over 20 million downloads in its first week of availability on Android and iOS.
The game involves catapulting a selection of aggressive cartoon birds at obstacles with the intention of eliminating the green pigs (who stole the birds' eggs - hence the anger).
Angry Birds Space takes to a new dimension with 60 different space-themed levels and adds the gravitational pull of the different planets into the equation for calculating the best launch angle for the agitated birds. The new game also introduces a wider variety of angry birds to choose from - all with different abilities.
The app is currently only compatible with the BlackBerry PlayBook OS, and is not available on BlackBerry handsets. Angry Birds Space can be downloaded for $4.99.
