Local pricing for new MacBooks

Johannesburg, 18 Jun 2012

Core Group, the local distributor for Apple, has released the recommended retail pricing for the new range of MacBooks announced by Apple at the Worldwide Developer Conference last week.

Core says the new range will be available “soon”. The updated MacBooks have been given a boost with faster processors, graphics, memory, flash storage and USB 3 connectivity.

Local pricing has not yet been revealed for the MacBook Pro Retina display. The new MacBook features a new slimmer design (measuring just 0.71 inches) and Apple has declared it “the most advanced Mac” the company has ever built. The Retina display offers the highest resolution of any notebook, with five million pixels in total.

According to Apple, there are currently 66 million Mac users - a figure that has increased threefold in the last five years.
