Appthority boosts mobile app risk management

Appthority has entered a series of new partnerships with DreamLab Technologies, Fixmo, IronKey, PrivacyChoice, and Quixey to extend the reach of mobile app risk management through the Appthority platform, Market Watch reports.

The Appthority platform automatically identifies and manages security and privacy risks hidden in mobile apps, using static and dynamic analysis through its cloud-based behavioral analysis engine.

Fixmo entered a partnership with Appthority to extend its mobile security and risk management with the assessment of commercial and in-house developed mobile apps, Business Wire writes.

Through the partnership, Fixmo will enable IT organisations to identify threats, risks and security vulnerabilities exposed by mobile apps running on devices within its network and use that intelligence to proactively prevent security breaches and maintain regulatory compliance.

Virtual Strategy quotes Fixmo chief security officer, Daniel Ford, as saying: “By partnering with Appthority, we are building on our proven device integrity, tamper detection and policy compliance solutions to give our customers a comprehensive view into the security threats and vulnerabilities that are present across their mobile devices, applications and users.

“We're giving our customers the intelligence and the tools they need to make informed, risk-based decisions, and to respond to high-risk security threats”, he adds.
