Adobe has rolled out its eLearning Suite 6 to the South African market. Software distribution company, Dax Data, will supply the suite.

According to Adobe, eLearning Suite 6 is an integrated toolbox for rapidly creating professional e-learning and HTML5-based e-learning content.

The company adds that the suite enables e-learning professionals, educators and trainers to create immersive, interactive e-learning courses with simulations, product demos, digital imaging, rich animations and audio production.

Anchored by Adobe Captivate 6 and the new Adobe Presenter 8, Adobe eLearning Suite 6 includes several titles, including Adobe Flash Professional CS6, Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended and Adobe Acrobat X Pro.

“Today's e-learning professionals, educators and trainers are dealing with a growing mobile population, platform fragmentation and the need to communicate through video,” says Jeremy Matthews, MD of Dax Data.

“As a result, efficiency in mobile authoring and delivery, and ease in video creation are among the top considerations when they select an authoring solution. Adobe eLearning Suite 6 delivers on both.”

He adds that Adobe eLearning Suite 6 enhances productivity with rounding workflows between Adobe Captivate and Adobe Audition CS6, Adobe Flash Professional CS6, Adobe Photoshop Extended CS6 and Acrobat X Pro.

For example, he explains, users can open Adobe Captivate files in Adobe Audition CS6 to quickly adjust speech pitch and alignment, or Adobe Photoshop Extended CS6 to retouch images and create 3D graphics.

Partner programme

Meanwhile, Dax Data has revealed the new Adobe Partner Connection Reseller Programme, now available across sub-Saharan Africa.

According to Dax Data, the programme is designed to recognise and reward resellers for their sales and technical expertise, level of engagement with Adobe, and commitment to promoting Adobe technologies and solutions to customers.

Dax Data now provides its current ecosystem of resellers with a simple, consistent structure that rewards resellers who increase their knowledge of Adobe technologies and are motivated to illustrate these to their customers.

Adobe regional manager for sub-Saharan Africa Israel Grant O'Connor says: “With our new channel programme, we have the optimal structure to work better and more closely with our partners.”

Says Matthews: “The Adobe Partner Connection Reseller Programme is built around four principles: encouraging active selling, engaging with us as a distributor, managing the channel in new ways, and elevating the conversations about Adobe technologies with the end-user.

“In the past, we have offered individual bonuses or incentives, but Dax Data is now presenting its resellers with the opportunity to participate in a highly integrated and comprehensive programme that will reward resellers proportionally for their level of commitment in selling Adobe products,” Matthews notes.
