RSA, the Security Division of EMC, has appointed SecureData Africa as its Value-Added Distributor for the sub-Saharan African region.
"We are extremely excited about this new partnership and the possibilities it opens up for both our organisations," says Wayne Olsen, Chief Technology Officer at SecureData Africa. "RSA are currently at the forefront of security innovation and their holistic view of security management and compliance, and RSA Security's deep integration with security management platforms is a first of its kind in the world.
"With RSA, we now have an extremely strong product portfolio that will enable our partners to offer governance risk and compliance solutions, as well as security management and security analytics. Traditionally, RSA were always thought of as only supplying tokens, but when we were looking at expanding our product offering, we discovered that RSA offer a host of industry-leading security technologies that go far and beyond the days of them being just a token provider. RSA Netwitness, Archer and Envision and DLP will form part of our main focus and this will assist with our drive in the security management space and right now we are investing heavily in technical resources and lab equipment to ensure we are able to fully show the power of these technologies," he adds.
"SecureData's business model and go-to-market strategy fit in perfectly with what we are trying to achieve here at RSA," says Stephan Le Roux, RSA District Manager. "Their extremely strong technical expertise, product management team and high touch account specialist were major factors for us when we were looking at appointing another distributor. SecureData will be building an RSA Experience Centre, which would showcase all the RSA Security technologies and allow our partners and end-users to get hands-on experience and test the various product suites."
