According to SAP customer JHI Properties, the premise of Saphila is sharing experiences and success stories and learning from others who are using SAP's software suite.

Marna van der Walt, CEO of Excellerate Property Services Group, of which JHI is a subsidiary, will be speaking at Saphila 2012, focusing on how to use SAP's ERP solutions to "future-proof" a complete property management business.

JHI's relationship with SAP stems back to the late 90s, and according to Van der Walt, over the years, SAP's solutions have become more and more integrated into the business. "SAP was run on the periphery in the past, but we are making it a core business system," she says.

For Van der Walt, quality becomes the differentiator between the business and competitors and thus it is vital that companies utilise solutions that keep them ahead of the pack.

"During my presentation, I will be telling our story, why we went with SAP, what we have implemented and talking about the use of these solutions in property services," says Van der Walt.

Van der Walt describes Saphila as being about more than the parties, although she does admit the parties are a bonus. "The beauty of Saphila is that you get to see where SAP is going next and to learn what else SAP has to offer its current and prospective customers. There is so much value in the networking and collaborative elements of the conference," she says.

Van der Walt concludes that anyone who is looking to implement an ERP solution, or anyone who is considering going with SAP, should attend Saphila 2012.
