Samsung – delivering an innovative WineX Cape Town Select 2012 experience

Bringing premium technology to the world of wine.

Samsung Electronics South Africa has partnered with RMB WineX 2012 Cape Town Select, taking place from 29 to 30 November 2012, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), in Cape Town. This partnership will allow consumers to experience the event the smarter way – through intuitive technology devices and product interactions.

Says Michelle Potgieter, Head of Corporate Marketing and Communications at Samsung Electronics South Africa: “As a brand that is focused on providing the market with premium products and solutions, it is only fitting that we teamed up with the RMB WineX Cape Town Select 2012 Show to demonstrate our full product range. During this activation, we can demonstrate how these products fit perfectly into the lives of those consumers looking for a premium lifestyle, through innovative and convenient technology.”

Consumers attending the show will be able to download the WineX 2012 application onto their mobile device – whether using Android or iOS – from where they will be able to view the full selection of wines available at the event, a view of the venue floor plan and other WineX-related content.

“An exciting part of our partnership includes the management of the ’Samsung Best Wine of Show’ ballot, which consumers can vote for via the WineX app or at any number of voting points throughout the exhibition hall – all powered by Samsung. The tally of votes cast during the show will be displayed on a leader board at the Samsung stand on the incredible Samsung 75-inch Smart TV – and the names of the winning wines will be announced at the end of the two-day event, on Friday, 30 November 2012,” continues Potgieter.

Samsung will not only undertake a strong consumer voting activation to highlight the ‘Samsung Best Wine of Show’, where consumers can use Samsung tablets to select their favourite red and white wine, but consumers will also have an opportunity to experience a range of products for themselves. Samsung will also host a fully interactive premium lifestyle stand at the show, where consumers will be able to interact with a full range of innovative entertainment and home appliances, from TVs to fridges and wine coolers. At the stand, consumers will also be able to witness Samsung’s All Share technology – the premium integration of entertainment and communications devices – in action. You can take home a piece of this immersive communication and lifestyle technology, as products are available to order directly from the show, and will be delivered within two weeks of purchase.
