The launch of Jabra Speak 410 was a raving success. The speakerphone was the first of its kind in the Jabra product portfolio and has taken the world by storm, gaining Jabra an almost instant 15% global market share in the USB speakerphone market in 2011.

Jabra has now transferred all of that success into the new and upgraded Jabra Speak 510 speakerphone with Bluetooth. Jabra Speak 510 is the perfect audio companion - anytime anywhere - whether on the move, at home, listening to music, or attending conference calls. Using plug-and-play connectivity, Jabra Speak 510 makes sure the user is just seconds away from virtual meetings and hands-free conversations. Simply connect it via Bluetooth to the PC, tablet or smartphone. That's it, and you are ready to dial in.

Jabra Speak 510 is designed for professionals with an everyday need for audio conferencing or simply hands-free calls. It functions as a lightweight audio device with its compact design and convenient travel case and has 15 hours' of battery life to keep the conversation alive. The crystal-clear omnidirectional microphone means attendees all around the speakerphone can hear and speak clearly - making it ideal for one-to-one and smaller group conference calls.

In the workplace, mobility is becoming more important in order to attract and offer employees the possibility of working from anywhere to enable a better work/life balance. This generation of employees, defined as Generation Mobile*, has grown up with Internet access, social networks, mobile phones and the "always on" lifestyle. Generation Mobile is profoundly changing the way the world communicates and interacts at work, and the devices that support the increased request for more mobility are in high demand. According to a forecast from IDC**, the mobile worker population in the US will account for 75% of the nation's workforce by 2015, indicating that the 9-to-5 days in the office will be history for the vast majority.

However, in order to fully take advantage of the potential of a mobile workforce, new, integrated communication tools are required. A global survey by Jabra and Frost & Sullivan* indicates an alarming discrepancy between the benefits companies expect from a more mobile workforce and how these employees are actually supported. One in five employees say they do not have the tools and devices to be able to work the way they want.

Jabra Vice-President, Marketing, Products and Alliances, Holger Reisinger, explains: "Mobility and connectivity between people on the move is the key to a successful business in today's global world. The Jabra Speak 510 helps to optimise productivity by intuitively enabling one-to-one and smaller group conference calls at any time and in any place."

With its Bluetooth technology, the Jabra Speak 510 becomes 100% wireless, enabling the user to connect to any Bluetooth-enabled device, which adds to the convenience of increased flexibility and connectivity via mobile and smartphones, tablets, laptops and headsets - at the office, at home and on the go. With the increased mobility of the global workforce and the increased flexibility of the average worker's workday, the Jabra Speak 510 is thought to be the natural next step from the superior test-winning Jabra Speak 410 that won best in test in a 2011 Sound & Design survey.

The Jabra Speak 510 is scheduled to launch in December 2012.
