Details of Cell C's new prepaid and hybrid product that has been advertised over the radio airwaves throughout the week have been released.

The operator's "Supacharge" product gives Cell C prepaid and contract TopUp subscribers unlimited Cell C to Cell C anytime voice calls, valid for 30 days from the date of recharge, when recharging with R500 or more. The new product kicks off from 4 February.

Cell C CEO Alan Knott-Craig says the offering will be part of Cell C's standard product offering, and is not merely a promotional offer. "We know that customers are always delighted when we launch special offers, but we also know sometimes they want some continuity. This one will be around for a while."

Prepaid perks

Cell C says customers that take on the new R500 unlimited voice offering will also receive 1000 free Cell C to Cell C anytime SMSes, and 1000MB of data to use "as they please". The additional SMSes and Data will also be valid for 30 days.

The R500, uncapped offer is the top end of a range of new tariffs, products and value-added offers that Cell C is introducing.

According to Cell C, all prepaid airtime vouchers, starting from R5 through to R500 and over, will now come standard with additional Cell C to Cell C minutes and Cell C to Cell C SMSes, as well as, additional data. The bonuses will depend on the value of the voucher, the more you top-up, the higher the bonus.

"Having voice, SMS and data standard on a single prepaid voucher is a Cell C innovation and has proved to be a popular offering amongst our prepaid base. We are pleased to be able to make the concept more widely available on all our prepaid vouchers," says Knott-Craig.

Customers will be able to get these benefits by purchasing normal airtime vouchers from any store that sells Cell C prepaid. Cell C adds that vouchers that have not yet been redeemed will also be included from the date of launch of the Supacharge product offer.
