ERPScan is pleased to announce its new Webinar dedicated to ERPScan Security Monitoring Suite v.2.2, which was released on 1 March.
The new brand name is ERPScan Security Monitoring Suite because it has become much more than just a scanner. Now, it offers a suite of various SAP security modules, while it can still be used as a simple scan tool, which is a good option for consulting companies.
One of the main improvements is built-in monitoring capability that helps users effectively manage the dynamics between different scans. Users can schedule monitoring for the most critical parameters of SAP systems.
Furthermore, the system has become incredibly faster in terms of authorisation checks. The completely revised engine can now analyse an SAP system with 5 000 users in five minutes!
ERPScan has added a lot of new checks, which include additional parameters implemented by SAP in the latest updates after the release of ERPScan 2.1, as well as multiple checks for the newly discovered security vulnerabilities.
The compliance block now includes two new guidelines. The first is DSAG compliance - a standard that was devised by a group of SAP users from Germany and consists of different security checks. ERPScan has successfully implemented compliance to this standard so that security auditors and consulting companies can assess SAP systems with respect to one of the most effective and detailed guidelines. It was also fully translated into English so it is now much easier for non-German speakers to implement this great standard.
The second standard is OWASP-EAS for SAP. ERPScan has a lot of different SAP security checks, so clients used to request an analysis of their systems for the most critical issues. Based on previous work, where ERPScan enlisted Top 10 implementation problems under the OWASP-EAS subproject, they have collected 50 most critical checks under Top 10 security areas. Now, clients can easily scan a SAP server in less than one minute and get a report about the most important problems.
Our SoD module and ABAP Source Code Security module were also updated with a number of new checks. Customised compliance has been added for different business areas: BASIS, HR, FI, etc.
