New Barracuda Application Delivery Controller (ADC) available from LOOPHOLD

LOOPHOLD Security Distribution, a distributor of Barracuda Networks and provider of security and storage solutions in southern Africa, has announced the local availability of the new Barracuda Application Delivery Controller (ADC), an integrated solution that combines load balancing, application acceleration, application control and Web application security into a single, high-performance platform.

"Barracuda Networks has now brought with them their knowledge in the security and storage space and applied this to the growing ADC market.

Barracuda ADC is designed for performance. With up to 32 times one Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports and up to eight times 10GbE ports, it easily meets the needs of today's high-traffic data centres.

Barracuda ADC secures applications against attacks at both the network and the application layer, including Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Top-10 attacks such as Structured Query Language (SQL) injection, cookie tampering and session hijacking, without impacting system performance.

Extensive certifications, templates and deployment guides are included for common applications such as Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Oracle Applications, Web servers and virtual servers.
