Britehouse announces it will now offer SAP Business One Cloud through partnership with MTN

Britehouse partners with MTN to enable delivery of SAP Business One Cloud; this SAP solution offers a comprehensive, on-demand cloud deployment solution for businesses that is easy to use and affordable.

Johannesburg, 01 Jul 2013

Britehouse, a Dimension Data company and a longstanding SAP hosting and cloud services partner in South Africa, announced its status as a SAP channel partner authorised to resell the SAP Business One Cloud solution on the African continent.

SAP Business One Cloud, previously SAP Business One OnDemand, is a comprehensive, managed software platform for multiple businesses sharing the use of common computing resources that are centrally hosted and managed.

Through the partnership between Britehouse and MTN, Africa's leading telecommunications provider, African businesses will now be able to access SAP Business One, including hardware, software, management and support services - across all industries, all in the cloud.

"We believe that this development will help enable companies to effectively manage, improve and ultimately grow their businesses through an affordable, subscription-based pricing model with clear, predictable operational expenses and no upfront capital expenses required," says Warren Small, Business Development Director for Britehouse vPlatform Solutions.

SAP Business One Cloud allows rapid adoption and deployment with customised templates, training materials and a comprehensive maintenance structure.

"We are working with telecommunications channel partners such as MTN, one of Africa's leading telecommunications providers, to further ensure quality connectivity, smooth implementation, accessibility, affordability and efficient data infrastructure offerings for small businesses on the continent. Businesses can now focus on running their business and not worry about running IT," says Henry Varges, Managing Director of Britehouse vPlatform Solutions.

"Through our partnership with MTN, we can leverage its existing operator network and Internet access to provide end-to-end solution benefits to end-users and businesses. This delivery capability is further enhanced with support from the SAP Business One Partner Ecosystem, enabling access to SAP cloud platforms, local delivery and support across Africa."

SAP Business One Cloud leverages a pay-as-you-go model and offers a number of opportunities for partners, including selling and servicing SAP solutions, business application extensions and innovation.

"SAP partners play a critical role in helping organisations purchase and implement the SAP Business One Cloud solution to address their individual business needs," said Simon Carpenter, Chief Customer Officer, SAP Africa. "SAP, along with its partner network across the African continent, continues to empower businesses of all sizes, helping to spur economic development and innovation and meeting the increasing demands of African businesses."

"MTN is committed to investing significantly in both mobile and fixed-line infrastructure and continues to fulfil on its promise of becoming a truly converged ICT solutions provider. The partnership with SAP, the global leader in its industry, is reflective of this turning point," says Lambo Kanagaratnam, CEO at MTN South Africa.

"The future of converged ICT solutions is no longer something that is distant, it is happening around all of us today. MTN wants to enable markets across Africa to grow and take advantage of this development. This can be done through integrated and effective ICT solutions such as the SAP Business One Cloud. All of this will result in us becoming a partner of choice for corporate, small to medium enterprises, and the public sector. We work with the best in the industry and partner with those who are specialists and leaders in their own right."

SAP Business One Cloud is an increasingly popular business application for larger organisations that want to deploy a comprehensive business platform with their subsidiaries, distributors, suppliers and third-party partners. The partnership between Britehouse and MTN enables the delivery of these solutions for fully integrated SAP solutions for large enterprise customers. "Welcome to the new world of cloud business solutions."
